Gen-C 2.0 is an in vitro line probe assay for the genotyping of hepatitis C virus. The assay discriminates between HCV genotypes on the basis of variations in the 5\u2019 UTR and Core regions. The assay works with amplicons obtained with NLM code AA896\/24.
