It detects genotype A, most strains of genotype B and C, and some strains of the other genotypes D, E, F and G. This test was developed and validated for the ABI PRISM\u00ae 7500 (Fast) instrument (Thermo Fisher Scientific), LightCycler\u00ae 480 (Roche) and Mx3005P\u00ae (Agilent), but is also suitable for other real-time PCR instruments.
