Human Pathogen Detection & Genotyping
Biocores molecular pathogen diagnostics, primarily based on single or multiplex real-time PCR, is one of the most comprehensive services on the market and is divided into the diagnostic categories of hepatitis diagnostics and genotyping (HBV, HCV, HDV, HEV), HIV, human papillomavirus (HPV), sexually transmitted diseases, herpes and TORCH infections, tuberculosis, gastrointestinal infections and parasites, sexually transmitted diseases, herpes and TORCH infections, respiratory diseases and tuberculosis, neurological infections, gastrointestinal infections and parasites, tick-borne infections, fungi and yeasts, newly diagnosed diseases, bacterial infections / sepsis and resistance. All products meet the highest quality standards and are compatible with the most commonly used PCR and real-time PCR instrument platforms on the market. The products are predominantly CE-marked in vitro diagnostics for human medical use according to European standards.
Molecular Diagnostics
Biocore offers a broad range of tumor diagnostic tests for the early detection and monitoring of patients undergoing treatment. biocore offers screening tests as well as quantitative tests that are particularly suitable for the detection and monitoring of minimal residual disease (MRD). MRD is the small number of leukemic or solid tumor cells that remain in the patient during or after treatment when the patient is in remission (no symptoms or signs of disease). It is the major cause of relapse in cancer and leukemia. Particularly unique are the highly multiplexed real-time PCR tests for the simultaneous detection of up to 30 different translocations in acute and chronic leukemia with only one test (HemaVision®, Q-Fusion). In addition to leukemia, molecular markers of various carcinomas and sarcomas can also be used. In addition to MRD tests, the division offers a range of somatic mutation tests that are important in the management of various cancers.

Human genetic diseases and genetic predispositions
In addition to tests for the detection of “classic” genetic diseases such as muscular dystrophy, fragile X syndrome, Huntington’s disease, cystic fibrosis, etc., the biocore genetic diseases product line includes a large number of tests for the detection of genetic polymorphisms responsible for thrombophilia, cardiovascular diseases, and genetic predispositions, biocore’s genetic diseases product line includes a large number of tests for the detection of genetic polymorphisms responsible for thrombophilia, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and obesity, as well as tests for the detection of genetic resistance to certain drugs (e.g. anticoagulants, warfarin, antibiotics, antiviral therapy, etc.).
